Bacteria Fighting Foods

Germs are everywhere and they can’t be avoided. However, you can fight them by eating the right foods.

Plant foods have flavonoids that can effectively remedy colds and flus. Flavonoids have a compound called quercetin that can damage genetic material inside viruses, keeping them from multiplying. Having several servings of flavonoid rich food provides the immune system the strength it needs to fight viruses.

Garlic has antiviral, antifungal, and antibacterial properties.

Eat a bulb of garlic per day to get the maximum healing benefit.

Fresh garlic, freeze-dried, and baked are all acceptable forms of cooking the garlic without taking away the benefits.

EAT FOR IMMUNITY

Two vitamins are needed to keep your immune system strong.

Vitamin A helps strengthen the body’s defense through enzymes that seek out and destroys bacteria.

Vitamin C helps the immune system take the offensive.

Foods high in vitamin C, such as oranges and broccoli are essential for strengthening the body’s germ killing cells.

One Essential mineral needed to keep your immunity strong.

Zinc helps maintain the appropriate level of infection fighting white blood cells.

To help keep the body’s immunity strong eat foods like Alaska king crab, lean top sirloin, and lentils.

Pretect yourself from infections by eating the right foods.
